Premgi Amaren and Bose Venkat head the cast of an untitled crime thriller that marks the directorial debut of film editor C. Ganesh Kumar, the makers announced in a press note. Sastik and Nayana Sai also play lead roles, and the production has already reached the final phase of shooting.
The team behind it
Lavanya Abhirami is producing the film under her Abhirami Productions banner. Ganesh Kumar, whose editing credits include Vallamai and Nari Vettai, is also editing his first film as director.
Premgi is composing the music in addition to acting. Sirpi Kumar is the cinematographer and S.R. Hari Murugan is in charge of the stunts.
What the director says
In his statement to the press, Ganesh Kumar said the film is designed to hold viewers in suspense from the opening to the final scene. He promised a new side of his lead: "Premgi Amaren will be seen in a role he has never portrayed before."
The director added that working with an experienced actor such as Bose Venkat had been a rewarding experience. According to the press note, post-production will begin once the remaining shooting is complete, and the makers plan to share further details later.
