Vaibhav plays the lead in Manikanda, the next production from JK Saravana's Tantra Films, whose title and first look actor Ravi Mohan unveiled on X on the evening of 26 October 2026. Vishnu Sasi Shanker directs the film, Premgi Amaren composes the music, and Venkat Prabhu serves as creative producer, according to the credits in Ravi Mohan's launch post.
The reveal
Tantra Films India had announced that morning that Ravi Mohan would launch the title and first look at 6:01 PM. Within minutes of his post, the production house, Vaibhav and Venkat Prabhu each shared the poster on their own handles. Vaibhav thanked Ravi Mohan for the launch.
The makers' caption invites audiences to come and see Lord Ayyappan and carries the hashtag #swamisaranam, the only hint so far of the film's devotional backdrop. The production house has not shared a synopsis.
Cast and crew
Meenakshi Govindharajan and Aravind Aakash are named alongside Vaibhav in the starring credits. Premgi marked his involvement with a post of his own on the same evening.
In sharing the poster, Venkat Prabhu introduced Vishnu Sasi Shanker as the director of the Malayalam film Malikappuram, which he called a blockbuster. JK Saravana describes himself on X as the chairman and founder of the Tantra group of companies.
