K Square Cinemas has set 27 November 2026 as the worldwide release date for Niram, a Tamil film directed by Balaram Krishna with Mugen Rao, Preethi Asrani and Tanya Hope in the lead roles. The production house announced the date on X on 27 October 2026 with two new posters, both of which describe the film as based on true incidents.

What the posters confirm

Both posters carry the line "Worldwide release on Nov 27". Neither the posters nor the production house's post say whether the film will open in theatres, on a streaming service or both, so the release format has yet to be confirmed by the makers.

The two versions differ slightly in their credits. The poster with the Tamil-script title names the director as Krishna Balaram and lists K Square Cinemas as producer, while the English-title version credits him as Balaram Krishna, the spelling also used on the trailer.

Cast and crew

The official trailer, which the music label Zee Music South released on YouTube on 30 July 2026, lists a wider ensemble in its credits. Alongside the three leads, it names Nitin Sathyaa, Surekha Vani, Sneha Gupta, Sreejith Ravi, Anbu Mayilsamy, Thirunavukarasu and Ghajaraj in the cast. The same credits name K Bindumadhavi as producer and P Rajesh as co-producer.

D Imman has composed the music, with lyrics by Viveka and Pa. Vijay and vocals by Parvasti and Srinisha Jayaseelan. Santonio Terzio is the cinematographer and V J Sabu Joseph, credited as Sabu Joseph in the trailer, is the editor.

Dhinesh Subbarayan is credited for stunts, Sai Barathi and Shankar for choreography, and Uday Kumar for sound mixing. Tuney John designed the publicity material, and the soundtrack is with Zee Music Company.
