Vijay Antony released Appava Pola, the first single from his film Appa Kutty, on the evening of 23 October 2026 through his label Vijay Antony Music. The actor, who also composed the track, described it on X as a gentle melody he expects to become an anthem for the bond between fathers and daughters. Mu. Maran, the film's writer and director, had flagged the 5 PM launch on X that morning.
How the song was rolled out
The release followed a two-step build-up. On 22 October 2026, Vijay Antony posted that the single would arrive the next day, and on 23 October he shared a poster announcing it for 5 PM.
That poster shows Vijay Antony seated by a sunlit window, lifting a baby in a red wrap. It credits Meera Vijay Antony as presenter under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner, with Five Star K. Senthil handling the release.
On the official upload
The video is on Vijay Antony's YouTube channel, titled as a promo song featuring Meenakshi, and its title also lists Preethi Asrani and Mu. Maran. A follow-up post from Vijay Antony later that evening credited the vocals to Meenakshi Elayaraja.
On 21 October 2026, Vijay Antony said the soundtracks of Appa Kutty and Nanakutty would be released on Vijay Antony Music. He did not say in that post how the two titles are related.
