Suriya's Scene has reached the No. 1 position on IMDb's list of most anticipated new Indian movies, co-producer 2D Entertainment announced on X at 6:02 PM IST on 1 November 2026, five days before the film, written and directed by Jithu Madhavan, opens in cinemas worldwide on 6 November.
What the makers shared
The announcement came with a poster that reproduces IMDb's India Spotlight section, where Scene appears at the top of a list titled "Most anticipated new Indian movies and shows". The section, as shown on the poster, describes the list as ranking Indian titles on IMDb by real-time popularity.
The poster also carries the film's credits. It lists Jyotika and Suriya as producers and Sushin Shyam as composer, and it repeats the Diwali release tag for 6 November.
What the ranking measures
The list reflects audience interest on IMDb at a given moment, and positions on it can change as interest shifts. It is not a measure of advance bookings or box-office performance, and neither the makers nor IMDb have presented it as one.
The ranking is the latest in a run of updates from Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment in the final week before release, which included the trailer on 31 October and a glimpse introducing Suriya as DSP Inbaraj on 26 October.
