Actor Bharath's next film, an untitled family entertainer written and directed by debutant M. Guru, began production with a pooja ceremony on 21 October 2026. Bharath shared photographs from the ceremony on X the same day, and the makers' press note says Twin Tower Productions and D Chronicle Productions LLP are producing the film, with Malayalam actor Rajesh Madhavan in the cast.
The cast
Bharath plays the lead. According to the press note, the female leads are Shiveshtha Raj (also credited as Vaishali Raj), Meenakshi Dinesh and Rakshana Indhusudhan.
Munishkanth, Sujitha and 'Katterumbu' Stalin round out the announced cast in other key roles. Director Virumandi gave the first clap at the ceremony.
Behind the camera
S.R. Sathish Kumar is the cinematographer and Arul E. Siddharth is the editor. Don Bala is the art director, Dinesh Kasi is the stunt coordinator, and Lavanya Desikan is designing the costumes.
The press note also credits Mani for makeup, Dinesh Ashok for publicity design, Sethu Pandian as production controller, Vignesh as costume coordinator and Shiva for stills. Yuvaraj is handling publicity for the film.
Shooting plan
Filming is scheduled to run for 45 days across Chennai and Alappuzha in Kerala, the makers said. They describe the film as a commercial family entertainer combining comedy, romance and family sentiment.
The press note lists both Kaalidas films among Bharath's earlier work.
