AGS Cinemas will handle the Tamil Nadu theatrical release of OM, writer-director Rajkumar Periasamy's film starring Dhanush, Mammootty and Sai Pallavi, with the worldwide theatrical release fixed for 20 November 2026. Wunderbar Films, Dhanush's production house, announced the deal on X at about 6:02 PM IST on 28 October 2026, and AGS Cinemas posted the same announcement from its own account shortly after, at about 6:19 PM IST.
Periasamy shared both posts on his X account, and each carried a short promotional video along with the release date.
The team behind OM
The full title of the film is OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood. Sai Abhyankkar composes the music, and Sreeleela also features in the cast, according to the credits on the makers' official music uploads.
Those credits list Shraddha Agrawal, Dhanush and Azmat Jagmag as producers, with Ezhil Arasu K as cinematographer and R. Kalaivanan as editor.

The Tamil Nadu announcement follows a 27 October 2026 post from Wunderbar Films stating that Phars Film had acquired the film's overseas rights. A day earlier, on 26 October, the production house introduced Sai Pallavi as police officer Nithya Reddy in a character glimpse titled OM Special Duty, released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
