Sathya Jyothi Films announced on X at 5:34 PM IST on 12 October 2026 that Sai Abhyankkar will compose the music for SK27, its film with Sivakarthikeyan, directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan. The production house described the project as a Sai Abhyankkar musical and as "the very first union" of the actor and the composer.
The director's post
Ramkumar Balakrishnan followed with his own announcement two minutes later. He opened with "For the first time SK x SAI" and called the pairing a "sensational combo".
The director closed his post with a direct welcome to the composer: "Welcome on board buddy".
What the composer said
Sai Abhyankkar responded at 2:20 AM IST on 13 October 2026, saying he was "Super excited and thrilled" to be working with Sivakarthikeyan on the film. He wrote that he had never missed a first-day, first-show screening of the actor's films.
"This is gonna be an absolute BLAST in theatres!" the composer added, before closing the post with a nod to director Ramkumar Balakrishnan, whom he called "my darling".
The actor's reply
Sivakarthikeyan answered by quoting that post at 11:30 AM IST on 13 October 2026. Addressing the composer as "Thambi" (younger brother), he wrote: "Super excited to have you on board!"
The actor added that the film's first-day, first-show screening would be on fire with the new music, using a fire emoji to make the point.
