Arjun Das plays a character named Chandru in John Doe, director Madhumita's new film, and the first-look poster unveiled on 22 October 2026 shows him in a police uniform. Producer Arka Mediaworks and the actor shared the artwork that evening, saying the film will be released in cinemas this November.
The caption
The announcement, posted on Arjun Das's account and repeated by the production house, frames the character around a question asked in Tamil that it says haunts Chandru. It adds: "A question we've all asked ourselves, perhaps."
The text continues, "Somewhere in his search, I found a little of myself too." Madhumita, who wrote the film as well as directing it, shared the post with the hashtag Who Is He.
On the poster
The artwork, released in English and Tamil versions, pairs a tight close-up of a moustached Arjun Das with an inset of him riding a motorcycle in uniform and sunglasses. Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda are credited as producers, and the posts name AGS Cinemas as the presenter.
The credits block adds names not seen on the title poster: Mesala Ramarao (Ramu) as production controller, Athul Krishna S as sound designer, Sinoy Joseph as re-recording mixer and Yellowtooths for publicity design. As before, the Netflix logo appears at the bottom, with no statement on the platform's role.
