Vels Film International announced on 24 October 2026 that the satellite television rights to director Sundar C's Mookuthi Amman 2: Mahasakthi (2026) have gone to five channels: Vijay Television, Star Maa, Star Suvarna, Colors Kannada and Asianet. The production house made the announcement on X less than two weeks before the Nayanthara-led film's theatrical release on 6 November 2026, which it has billed as a Diwali release.
The post did not say which language versions each channel will carry, and it did not give a deal value or a date for the film's television premiere.
A run of rights announcements
The satellite deal is the latest in a series of business updates the banner has shared during the week. On 22 October 2026, Red Giant Movies announced that it will release the film in theatres across Tamil Nadu, and Vels Film International said it was happy to work with that distributor once again.
The same day, the production house said Ayngaran and Big Films had acquired the overseas theatrical rights.
Promotions so far
Alongside the rights news, the banner has kept attention on World of Mahasakthi, the promotional video it released on 21 October 2026. In a post on 23 October, Vels Film International said the video had crossed 6 million views.
With the satellite deal, the makers have now named partners for the film's Tamil Nadu cinema release, its overseas cinema release and its television broadcast.
