Tyler Durden And Kino Fist announced on 6 November 2026 that Pocket Novel, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, will release in theatres on 14 January for Pongal. The production house posted the news on X with two official posters that carry the line "Jan 14 Pongal Release" beside the TDKF mark.
Cast and crew on the posters
The posters credit Vijay Sethupathi, Raj B Shetty, Malavika Mohanan, Kishore and Dhilip Subbarayan in the cast. Music is credited to G.V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography to Nirav Shah, and story and screenplay to Andrew Louis. Editing is credited to Sathyaraj Natarajan and art direction to V. Shanmugaraja. The banners also name Thiagarajan Kumararaja and S.D. Ezhilmathy as producers under Tyler Durden And Kino Fist, and list Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada title treatments.
The accompanying post from the banner reads that the date is set for Kumararaja's Pocket Novel and that "pages are turning this Pongal," tagging the lead cast and key crew named on the art.
Path to the date
The same banner earlier marked a wrap for the shoot on 9 October 2026 and, on 30 October 2026, confirmed Prakash as composer with a short promo. The new posters put a calendar date on that completed production.
