Indian cricketer Sanju Samson booked an entire screen to watch Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 with his wife and friends, he said in a video clip that circulated on social media on 20 October 2026. Speaking on camera before the screening, Samson said he had missed seeing the film earlier because of an event in Delhi, and that he was one day late.

In the clip, Samson answers questions from an interviewer who is not seen on camera. He says he has been watching Rajinikanth's films from a very young age and always looks forward to the actor's next release.
Asked whether he usually catches the first-day first show, he says he tries to. He adds that his wife was with him and that he had invited friends to the screening.
Who else was invited
Samson says the invitation extended to members of the team who understand Tamil, in his words "everyone in the team and the support staff who knows Tamil". He also says language does not matter to him when it comes to watching films.
Samson recalls that he enjoyed the first Jailer as well, and says he was excited to see the cast on screen again.
