Sun Pictures, the producer of Rajinikanth's Jailer 2, released four new character stills from the film on X on 26 October 2026, captioning the set "MVP and the Kalpaks from the world of Jailer 2". The studio posted the images while the Nelson Dilipkumar film is still playing in cinemas, describing its theatrical run as worldwide.
What the stills show
One frame is a close portrait of Rajinikanth in a grey shirt and dark-rimmed glasses. Another places him at a table, looking up at a woman in a blue saree who stands beside him.
The other two are solo portraits: a man in a black shirt seated with one hand on his hip, and a woman in a blue saree with her eyes lowered. The studio did not name the characters or actors in the individual images, and did not explain who the MVP and the Kalpaks of its caption are.
The film so far
Jailer 2 opened in theatres on 15 October 2026, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. On 24 October, Sun Pictures announced that the soundtrack had reached No. 1 on Spotify's Top Albums: India chart.
