Keerthy Suresh headlines Akka, a Netflix crime-drama series presented by YRF Entertainment, which premieres on 30 October 2026, Netflix India announced. Radhika Apte stars opposite her, and the streamer released a new 2-minute-13-second video for the series on 22 October 2026, following a teaser on 17 October 2026.
What Netflix has shown so far
Netflix India first flagged the teaser a day ahead, on 16 October, and dropped it the next morning with a caption describing the rule of Akka, a reign of sisters, and a threat hanging over them. YRF Entertainment shared the same clip on its own handle on 19 October, repeating that the series is coming only to Netflix.
The 22 October video carried a caption hinting at two forces, one set to rule and one set to destroy, and promised that the history of Pernuru was about to change. Later that day, Netflix India introduced Keerthy Suresh as the "Akka of Pernuru", a post the actor reshared on her own account.
Cast and crew
Dharmaraj Shetty has directed the series, with Tanvi Azmi also in the cast alongside the two leads.
