Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu's banner V Creations announced on 12 October 2026 that Mysskin's Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi, will open in cinemas worldwide on 4 December 2026. The production house shared a new poster with the date. Vijay Sethupathi and director Mysskin posted the same update from their official accounts the same evening.
Build-up before the date
Until that announcement, the makers had not named a release day. Earlier updates from V Creations tracked the film's promotions without fixing one.
On 16 January 2025, the banner shared a short glimpse of Train to mark Vijay Sethupathi's birthday. It announced the first single, Kanna Kuzhikaaraa, in December 2025, with the post saying the song would arrive the next day.
On 18 June 2026, V Creations named Vijay Television as the film's official satellite partner. On 12 July 2026, it released the official teaser and, later that day, the full song jukebox. On 27 July 2026, it posted behind-the-scenes material from an action sequence.
Who the announcement names
The release-date posts and the official teaser credit Vijay Sethupathi, director Mysskin and Shruti Haasan, with Kalaippuli S Thanu producing under V Creations. The posts also tag Nassar, K S Ravikumar, Narain, Ira Dayanand, Preethy Karan, Kalaiyarasan, Yugi Sethu, cinematographer Fowzia Fathima and editor Sri Watson.
